TT opinion: Rare Reuben Heaton of Birmingham all brass fishing scene reel c1900. 2.5” diameter 29mm across frame both front & rear panels are cast in relief showing a fisherman with creel & bait can landing a fish. The original price of 2 shillings marked to the foot. Reel retains virtually all original finish, one of the best I’ve seen. This is a genuine Heaton reel, beware of fakes which are normally stamped Moscrop on the foot & have polished brass tapered handles.
