TT opinion: Just in from our fantastic buying and valuation day at Blagdon fisheries is this lovely early two piece B James two piece cane Carp rod. B James & son, London, with long cork early ‘trumpet’ shaped handle, 2 piece split cane rod, burgundy close whipped with red agate butt, bronze ferrule & wood stopper 28” cork handle, sliding alloy reel rings polished butt cap & black rubber button. Nice tight ferrule. Nice straight rod, great example or an early J B James carp rod with Bruce Walker cloth rod bga.
