There are few times in life when you are offered a huge big game sea fishing collection like this one.
A comprehensive varied selection of approx. 100 tuna, marlin, shark and tunny rods, tackle and reels including 3 of the rarest I’ve seen for many years.
The star of the show is a 9” Hardy Fortuna extra wide big game reel with auxiliary brake, one of only a handful made. It’s complemented by a 7” Allcock Mitchell Henry Tunny reel, plus a 7” Hardy Sea Silex fitted with an extra-long brass lever brake. These alone would warrant us claiming a great collection but once you added a selection of Hardy Fortunas, Farlow and Allcock Tope reels, Hardy Eddystone and others plus a huge array of modern big game reels and rods, it became apparent this was no ordinary collection and had to be bought.
Four trips to Spain, many glasses of vino and much discussion eventually won the day for Thomas Turner, securing the entire lot which arrived at our office at 8pm one night in a huge container truck, holding 31 massive packages. Look out for details of this amazing collection being listed online.
