A superb condition Walker Bampton of Alnwick vintage alloy St George pattern salmon fly reel. 4-1/4” diameter x 47mm across the frame. Factory black handle with maker’s oval logo stamp to the backplate. Two screw drum latch and a super large copper O ring line guide. Working rim tension regulator. Internal heavy spring and steel pawl giving a classic check clicker. The inner casing is stamped 9 0r 6 . Silky smooth operation when turning. Factory correct 86mm smooth brass foot. The reel has no wobble or play. A fine collector’s example retaining most dark lead finish. An excellent fishing reel with classic looks from this famous Alnwick maker.
