A rare Pape of Newcastle 3 ½” alloy wide drum single handle fly reel with unusual factory Silent Check & brass side operating lever. 36mm across frame, crazed white handle with bar latch, 74mm smooth brass foot, internally the reel stamped “20”. Minor alloy marks to backplate alongside foot otherwise the reel winds silky smooth & well, no drum rock or play, rarely seen example.
