The Joint Lubricator and Container was an entirely new idea in the 1930’s.

Pull off the top casing, push up the little stud exposing the Special joint or ferrule lubricant; in the case it’s green. Smear the joint, twist the ferrule parts around a few times coating the entire unit, then assemble and off you go.
The lube acts as a cleaner and lubricant prolonging the life of the joint and comes with a rare Wheatley of England nickel-plated cast damper tin, hinged lid with internal felt pads, great vintage classic collectables
