Four antique salmon and trout black japanned fly tins for the collector.An early Malloch of Perth tin measuring 8″ x5″ x1-1/2″ with the early brass large Malloch medallion to lid. Swing leaf interior holding approx 60 salmon flies including 15 large gut eye examples. A later Malloch box with the nickle logo plate to lid. 7″ x 4-1/4″ x1″, swing leaf and cast compartment to rear, Holds approx 50 antique salmon flies, approx half with gut eyes( see images). A Hardy Halford Dry Fly box, 5-1/2″ x3-1/2″ x 1-1/4 hard logo plate to lid, Inside there are 4 celluloid slide covers over a 12-compartment base and 5 hinged lids with celluloid windows ( two hinges need re-soldered) over further compartments, owners name scratched to the underside of the box. Contains a selection of early dry flies with paper tags and finally a slim black Japanend pocket box, with a crumbling foam interior. Super antique fly selection for the collector.
