early named Haywood of Birmingham brass pin stop winch reel c 1801-1839 for collectors
Scarce early Haywood Maker, Birmingham, brass multiplying winch with pin stop,
1 5/8” diameter, 1 ¾” wide, face plate stamped “Haywood H*R B ’ham” (Birmingham),
off set curved winding arm with polished bone handle, working pin stop lever to end plate locks the drum,
original block cast foot,
the reel retains good original finish and in full working condition,
Haywood traded in Birmingham 1801-1839, a fine early example.
