Chas Farlow Wickerwork Creel with brass hinges and hasp 1884-1895 rarely seen
Fine early Charles Farlow & Co., Maker’s, 191 Strand, London, willow fishing creel, measuring 16”x12”x11”, pot-bellied shape, brass hinges, brass hasp, the striker plate engraved with maker’s details, offset fish slot to the lid, generally in fine condition with good natural age patina. There are a few broken canes but nothing overly noticeable and it is still very sound. The cane is very dark with lighter worn patches. Thought to date to approx 1884-1895 and probably the earlier of those dates.
