Farlow’s Standard Gut & Wire Gauge

Produced in the 1920s this is a rarely seen little accessory from Farlow’s of London.

Available from both the Panton St and Charles St retail shops, it’s a neat practical item for home or riverbank.

A pocket-size brown leather-covered card wallet with stud fastening, measuring 4-1/2″ x 2-1/2″.

It carries a range of wire patterns equivalent to all gut sizes in tables of thousands of an inch.

Capable of measuring trace wire, gut substitute, and piano wire too. Additional comprehensive hints of use and care of gut are included.

There are few of these gauges about and at the time of writing, we have just listed a fine condition example, a great addition to any collection. Click here to view it.
