This collection is a cracker. A good spread of everything antique and collectable as well as decorative and useable. The family decided that after 10 years it was time to allow others to enjoy their late father’s wonderful collection. A small portion is shown in the images here.

Have a browse through the images. You will see assorted Hardy Perfect reels, including brass-faced, solid drum, and St George Multiplier. There are two Hardy Field reels in small sizes, a Hardy The Silex Multiplier,  Hardy Hercules and a huge salmon Uniqua plus a 5” Sea Silex. Spinning reels are represented with Hardy Altex, a superb Illingworth No.1 in factory case, Arthur Allan of Glasgow Spinet, Foster Excelise, and more. A Malloch side caster, unusual Malloch side casting Tournament alloy reel and an early Sun and Planet salmon reel. Jones of London folding handle winch and Harwood crank wind brass winch. A collection of antique fly wallets including a good quantity of large gut eye salmon flies and black japanned tins.

A varied lot of modern rods reels and accessories to fish were included. A good range of vintage cane and glass rods included a rare Hardy Touch Leger, Sharpes Impregnated, Farlow, Fosters and Allcock’s models.
